I was interested in seeing how that turned out. I learned the hard way when a similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago when I saw an album cover using my Golden gates of Hell (easily the one piece in my gallery that got ripped the most, especially before I watermarked it and reduced the full-view size) With some angel and demon or something like that lazily pasted over the planet (It totally didn't blend in well at all - I wouldn't be surprised if the "artist" ripped that image as well) Yet I foolishly accused the band itself and ranted about them stealing my work. Turns out they just hired someone else to do it and that person said they found my artwork on a stock photo site and bought the "rights to use it" from there for TWO FUCKING DOLLARS! No wonder they said that stock photo site was dead by then. Still, I couldn't get them to change it, but I at least hassled 50 bucks out of them for compensation money
What the... ...50 bucks?? Geez. Yeah, the band is seldom responsible - on the other hand they should have realized that 2 dollars for HQ image is a bit suspicious - it's like buying a brand new plasma TV in a back alley from a hobo for a hundred bucks...
50.00?? cheapstakes.. At least i got 275.00 for this last fiasco..I could have hassled them for more, but figured i didn't have to work for it, so it was bonus money.
Well I don't think they had much money anyway. It was some band I and likely everyone has has never heard of, and that was their maximum offer, so I guess $50 was better than nothing
